Rabbit found in Gozo with four snapped legs

The injuries appear to have been deliberate, Rangers say

A 'pet' rabbit found in a remote area of Għajnsielem was left to die after having its four legs snapped at the joints, apparently deliberately, the Malta Rangers Unit said.

This, it said, appeared to be a horrible case of animal cruelty.

Officials of the Animal Welfare Department took the rabbit to a vet where it most likely will be humanely euthanised due to the severe injuries.

The police have been informed.
