Public safety must have been top of the agenda of the organisers in view of the speed of certain cars, particularly during the high speed racing on Sunday afternoon. But people, including families with children, were in certain areas too exposed to danger even though they were behind the barriers.
A case in point was when the racing cars approached the roundabout of the Triton Fountain at top speed at the end of the straight stretch in front of the Phoenicia Hotel.
