On March 31 the Gozo Sports Complex in Victoria presented its first racket tournament. Participating in the event, which consisted of a competiton between three racket disciplines (table-tennis, lawn tennis and squash), were around 40 contestants.
Besides providing an opportunity for all racket enthusiasts to compete, this event also served to promote the services offered by the complex.
Currently there are 15 sport disciplines on offer including volleyball, basketball, badminton, handball, futsal (five-a-side indoor soccer) and netball. The complex also caters for gymnastics, ballet, yoga, martial arts as well as keep-fit lessons. Apart from this, the complex is furnished with an indoor squash court, a table-tennis room, a climbing area and an outdoor illuminated lawn-tennis court.
