Who's your favourite Maltese singer? Who's the best local act? And who's the band strumming the best music?
Listeners of Bay Radio will this month have the chance to vote for local artists in six categories: best newcomer, best solo artist, best band, best single, best remix, and best song of all time.
The Bay Music Awards, launched at InterContinental Malta, will be held on December 7 at the Eden Arena.
"Bay Radio has always had the dual purpose of providing non-stop quality entertainment while also giving local acts the exposure, confidence and encouragement they need to solidify their talents. These awards are a prime example of the station's attempts at reaching both these goals," station manager Terry Farrugia said.
Bay's listeners can choose their favourites by sending an SMS, that costs 16c, with the name of the singer/band. There is a mobile number for each category. Voting is now open and will remain open until the December 2.
The nominees in the best newcomers section are: Baresine, Tenishia, Chris D'Alfonso and Mutley. Send an SMS to 5061 6741.

All voters will have the opportunity to win a Creative Zen Micro Mp3 Player, two vouchers for a one-night stay at the InterContinental Malta, two vouchers for dinner for two at the Harruba Restaurant and two vouchers for dinner for two at the Soprano Restaurant.
All nominees of the awards will perform on the night and six of Malta's top club DJs will also perform together.
