During the years 1955-1957 my father was stationed a Ta' Qali where he trained the Maltese cadets.

I have just returned from a holiday in Malta where I visited the Aviation Museum at Ta' Qali. I had with me a photo of my father and the cadets which was taken in 1956. Some of The Times readers might recognise themselves or a member of their family and perhaps it will bring back some good memories for them. I was a young girl at the time of our stay in Malta and my holiday brought back many happy memories of the time I spent there with my family.

My father enjoyed his time at Ta' Qali and spoke of it often. While in Malta he was a Flt/Lt and his name was Duncan William Jamieson. Sadly he died in April.
