Students attending the SkolaSajf summer club celebrated Animal Awareness Day. The SkolaSajf programme is annually supported by the HSBC Cares for Children Fund.

The children put up a programme of dance, drama and poetry at St Paul's Bay Primary School to promote respect for animals. In her message, TV presenter Moira Delia explained to the children that domestic pets are creatures to be cared for within a family and urged children to respect animals in their natural environment. She also encouraged children not to buy animals but to adopt strays.

"HSBC Cares for Children Fund has been supporting SkolaSajf since its inception for the provision of educational material and resources," said HSBC's chief operating officer Sally Robson. "Seeing children putting our support to good cause and promoting respect for animals is indeed commendable."
