Real Madrid director of football Arrigo Sacchi says the Primera Liga club are negotiating for new players but are in no hurry to close the deals.

"There is a lot of talk but if you look around the world there is very little movement in the transfer market at present. We will do something, but we are in no rush," Sacchi said.

The Spanish sporting press have linked Real to a string of players from Brazilian forward Robinho to lesser known players such as the versatile Uruguayan Carlos Diogo.

"Everyone knows Real are interested in Robinho. Diogo is less well known and would cost less but we have followed him and he is a player I like," Sacchi added.

After two seasons without a major trophy Sacchi is the man with the task, alongside coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo, of reshaping Real's squad for next season.

He has already warned the club's expensively assembled squad of galacticos that nobody's place will be guaranteed next year.

"The last two years have shown that football is a team game with individual moments. Our plan for next season is to construct a balanced team. A star only wins a game - a team wins the league," Sacchi said.
