Victor Agius, 23, of St Paul's Bay, was yesterday conditionally discharged for three years on being found guilty of receiving stolen goods.

Agius had, in September 2003, been charged with receiving stolen mobile phones, worth over Lm1,000 and trying to sell them.

Before handing down its judgement, the court considered that the accused had a clean criminal record, had cooperated with the police and that the mobile phones had been recovered.

Inspector Carmelo Magri prosecuted.
