The next draw of the Super 5 on Wednesday would probably tempt even those who have never gambled a single cent.

The draw guarantees a minimum jackpot of Lm330,000, the highest ever in its 15-year history.

If all five numbers are guessed, the draw will truly fulfil the Super 5 slogan of "changing someone's life".

Super 5 was launched in January 1990 with punters being asked to pick five numbers between 1 and 36 but in April 2001 changes were introduced to Super 5 so that instead of 36 the highest number would be 42.

The previous highest jackpot was of Lm272,000 in June 1999.

Before lotto's and Super 5's privatisation, the Super 5 jackpot used to be capped but since Maltco Lotteries took over there was no limit to wins and the jackpot continues to increase until it is won.
