To celebrate Earth Day and continue with its programmes to raise awareness on environmental care, The Body Shop has re-launched its in-store recycling services aimed at making it easier for customers to recycle their plastic Body Shop containers in the four stores in Malta and Gozo.
Customers can return their clean, empty containers to their closest store and are given a free travel size product for every 10 brought back. Centralised returns will then be taken by Body Shop staff to local recycling bins.
Tomorrow, Earth Day, all Body Shop stores will ask customers to refrain from utilising plastic bags and cloth bags are available as an alternative.
The Body Shop is also promoting a national pilot project for the collection of domestic used cooking oil for conversion into biodiesel and will be assisting the Ministry for Rural Affairs and the Environment with the distribution of informative materials on this recently launched initiative through the four stores in Malta and Gozo.
