Fares will be reduced on the Gozo ferries on weekends throughout this month.

Fares for passengers on Saturdays and Sundays will be €1.20 (from €4.65) while the fares for cars will be reduced from  €15.70 to €8.20. The prices apply from the first trip on Saturdays (1.30am) until the 4.30pm trips on Sunday.

The scheme does not apply for commercial vehicles.

Gozo Minister Anton Refalo said the purpose of the scheme is to promote more visits to Gozo and hence more economic activity.
