Reduction in roaming charges

Go mobile will soon be announcing reduced international roaming charges for its customers aimed at making such charges more understandable, the company said yesterday.

This reduction is being done in view of the European trend to lower roaming tariffs and make them more transparent.

Chief executive officer Juanito Camilleri said the company was studying various options to rationalise its roaming tariffs, to apply discounts whenever possible and to ensure that its customers are aware of their costs.

"We are determined to ensure that go mobile retains its edge as the better value provider of roaming services, and we will shortly be announcing roaming tariffs which are simpler to understand and more advantageous to the end user," Prof. Camilleri said.

Go mobile's roaming service is available in over 151 countries worldwide, thanks to roaming agreements with over 230 mobile phone networks.
