Maltese basketball referee Bernard Vassallo has been nominated by FIBA to officiate a Top 16 play-off game in Spain today.

This is the ninth international appointment for Vassallo this season.

Today's match, between hosts Ros Casares Valencia and Kosice (Slovakia), will be staged at the 9,000-seater Pabellon Municipal Fuente de San Luis.

The other referees are Italy's Marcello Reatto and France's Johan Jeannea. Portugal's Rui Valente will act as FIBA commissioner.
