The man who startled a congregation when he ran through the Marsaxlokk church naked last week may find himself behind bars after the police yesterday filed a request for his bail to be revoked because of a drug trafficking case.

Freddie Delia, 32, who, together with his 29-year-old brother Roderick, stands charged with drug dealing, was on bail when he ran into the church at 6.30 a.m. on October 28 in the nude and allegedly drunk. He has yet to be charged over that incident.

The police filed a request for his bail to be revoked on grounds that he breached the bail conditions by leaving his Żabbar residence before 6 a.m.

Defence lawyer José Herrera asked the court for the case to be put off to Tuesday so that Mr Delia’s probation officer and a psychiatrist could testify.

The two brothers also stand charged with money laundering on different dates between February last year and last month and with relapsing. Lawyer Daniella Mangion also appeared for Mr Delia.
