The reshuffle in the PN shadow cabinet confirmed that the party leadership was ready to take all necessary steps to make the Opposition a credible alternative to the government, PN leader Simon Busuttil said today.

Addressing the first meeting of the new shadow cabinet at the PN headquarters, he said that the new members of the front bench would be expected to reach the highest standards of performance.

Dr Busuttil also said that next Monday he would be announcing the main three targets which his party would try to achieve in the near future.

He added that the PN could still make a difference even though it was in Opposition.

The resignation of Manuel Mallia from Home Affairs Minister was just one example, the PN leader said.
