No one was injured as elderly resident rescued with turntable ladder and pets brought out to safety
Residents in an apartment block in Żebbuġ were evacuated on Thursday after a fire broke out in the common area sending thick black smoke billowing through building.
One elderly resident was rescued using a turntable ladder and two cats and a dog were brought to safety as firefighters worked to bring the fire under control.

No one was injured in the incident.
Once the fire was extinguished, crews carried out ventilation and cooling operations to remove the remaining smoke and eliminate any risk of reignition.
The cause of the fire was
