The cabinet observed three minutes' silence yesterday as a sign of respect for last week's victims of the bombings in Spain.
Parliament also observed a minute's silence in solidarity with the victims of the bombing in Madrid. The gesture was proposed by Labour MP Joe Mizzi.
Education Minister Louis Galea agreed with the proposal, adding that the government had also instructed its departments to observe three minutes of silence at noon yesterday.
