Restoration scheme deadline extended

The scheme is open for localities in the Northern Region

The Planning Authority has extended the deadline of submissions for the Irrestawra Darek scheme in the Northern Region to Wednesday, June 3  at 10am.

The scheme was announced last week. It is open for residents of Mellieħa, Mġarr, Mosta, Naxxar, St Paul's Bay,  Attard and Balzant and supports the maintenance and restoration of façades of heritage buildings and scheduled properties within Urban Conservation Areas.

"The extension is intended to provide additional time for residents, property owners and other eligible beneficiaries within the region to take advantage of the scheme and to ensure that all interested parties have a fair opportunity to apply," the PA said.

Applicants are first required to submit an expression of interest. It may be submitted online through the Planning Authority’s website or in person at the Authority’s Front Desk in Malta or Gozo.  Further information on the scheme, including eligibility criteria and application procedures, is available from the Planning Authority via its website pa.org.mt, customer care on 2290 0000, or by email at irrestawradarek@pa.org.mt.
