Italian pop legends have been performing for five decades

Italian pop legends Ricchi e Poveri are set to perform in Malta in July as the first headliner announced for the 2026 Għaxaq Music Festival.

The group, an establishment of the Italian music industry, will take to the stage at the Għaxaq Grounds on July 21.

Best known for hits such as Sarà Perché Ti Amo, Mamma Maria, Che sarà and Se m'innamoro, Ricchi e Poveri have sold more than 22 million records worldwide and released 30 albums during a career spanning more than five decades.

The group, now consisting of Angelo Sotgiu and Angela Brambati, enjoyed renewed commercial success in recent years with the song Ma non tutta la vita, which topped digital charts in Italy and accumulated tens of millions of streams across music platforms.
