The funds were presented by Lydia Abela, who helped organise the event

Lydia Abela, the prime minister's wife, has presented €10,600 to the Richmond Foundation to support it in the provision of support services and therapy for people with mental health issues.

The funds were raised in the first edition of the Nitkellem festival which Abela helped organise with the government on October 10 and ticket sales for the  Kelma Kelma Nota Nota concert.

She said she was pleased that hundreds of people had turned up for the festival. many of them sharing their experiences.

Abela met staff members of the foundation and said that the fact that people were now more aware of where to go for help provided peace of mind.

Richmond Foundation CEO Daniela Calleja Bitar expressed satisfaction for Abela's efforts to make mental health a priority.

Present for the ceremony was Ray Calleja on behalf of Kelma Kelma Nota Nota.
