In my contribution of July 24, I declared that with the introduction of residential parking, Sliema is creating a monster problem. Now residents who do not own cars are requesting space for use by visiting relatives.

This is not going to stop. Once again I ask the goverment and opposition to have the guts to declare the ruling which was given by Mr Justice Lino Farrugia Sacco 949/2004 correct and applicable to all areas and cancel the ADT legal notice.

We are otherwise going to create discrimination. We pay tax for the use of roads and should be allowed to park when we find space in all areas.

Just a simple suggestion: Why not protect space for residents from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m., leaving this available for visitors and the working population throughout the day.
