Risk management discussed

Ingrid Azzopardi, Maltacom's group director internal audit was recently invited to two international seminars as a speaker on audit and revenue assurance. During the Risk Management and Audit in Telecoms Conference held in Amsterdam Ms Azzopardi presented a case study on how Maltacom implemented a control framework that ensures that all billable events on the network are captured and revenues assured.

Ms Azzopardi was also an invited speaker at the International Telecommunications Union workshop on quality, fraud and security, held in Xi'an, China during the second week of October.

During her presentation at the workshop Ms Azzopardi dwelt on the importance of revenue assurance throughout an organisation and on the role of the internal audit function.
