I wish someone can explain to me what the terrorist group Al Qaeda are hoping to achieve (apart from terror).

If they are trying to conserve their world or are trying to change ours they are going about it the wrong way. I wish someone would inform Osama Bin Laden he is on a road to nowhere.

Even if he managed to destroy half the structures of the world he would not achieve anything. He behaves like a vandal wanting destruction for its own sake. If he wants to change a government than he needs an army not suicide bombers. The Palestinians employ suicide bombers out of desperation and even they are now beginning to realise that suicide bombing is counter-productive. It gives an excuse for the Israelis to build a fence that annexes more of the precious land they are dying for.

You do not defend land by suicide bombing. A human life is worth more than any piece of land to willingly give up your own life for the sake of a piece of land no matter how sacred it is. In the end you will run out of willing kamikazes before you run out of targets.

Bin Laden behaves more like a rabid wolf than a wolf in charge of a pack that is fighting to defend his territory. What I wish someone would tell him is that even if his offensive is 100 per cent successful he will have achieved exactly nothing except to increase hatred among humanity.

We are either dealing with a very evil man or a very stupid one. In my opinion, the more I see the more I realise we are dealing with a stupid man. Maybe all he has ever studied is the Koran. Had he studied history, he would know that terror always has short-lived success because humans prefer death to enslavement to terror.

Terrorists have had limited success when they had a clear political agenda. Maybe someone will write and explain to me the political agenda of Al Qaeda. If the ultimate aim is to bomb us into becoming Muslims I think it is no more than a foolish and futile plan. Mohammed used to convert by the sword but those days are long gone except to those who believe in the literal truth of the Koran.

In today's world it is words that convert and not bombs. Bin Laden sees himself as a new prophet converting by the sword when we live in a world in which he who lives by the sword dies by the sword and you can't bomb your way into the hearts of people, even your own people.

The more I learn about Bin Laden the more I realise we are dealing with a vandal and not a leader of his people.
