Road works

On December 22, I sent a letter to the local councils of Rabat and Zebbug, The Times and the Roads Department. Attached to this letter there were three photos showing the terrible condition of two roads, towards which traffic from Mdina Road, Zebbug is being diverted. These two roads are Triq it-Tnax ta' Mejju, Zebbug and the road leading to the correctional facility of San Blas.

During a telephone conversation by myself to the Zebbug local council I was informed that the area is not in the jurisdiction of the local council of Rabat, that the road leading to San Blas is being patched by the local council of Zebbug and Triq it-Tnax ta' Mejju is to be done by the central government.

The photo attached show what has been done till today.

As I promised, I will update whoever responsible with photos which show clearly what has been done. One can go around and check. Maybe the mayor can himself check what work has been done by the private contractor. Does any quality service charter exist? And who is going to pay for the hundreds of liri paid by the citizens in damages to their vehicles?

When are we going to take action? When some tragic accident happens?!
