Roads work permit denied

Cospicua council said the road resurfacing work in ix-Xatt Street had been delayed after the contractor failed to renew his insurance policy.

The council explained that General Roads Servicing Limited could not be issued with the work permit from the Roads Department until it renewed its policy.

"This is carelessness on behalf of the contractor," the council said.

The council promised residents it was doing its utmost to resolve the situation in the shortest time possible.
