Robotic camera to be used in search for body

Divers from the Civil Protection Department and the Armed Forces of Malta yesterday continued their search for Albert Brian Rosso's body off Marsaxlokk but the search was called off at about noon.

The search is due to resume this morning, involving the two diver teams as well as the CPD's fire and rescue boat Garibaldi, from which a robotic camera will be lowered to scan the seabed. Mr Rosso's body is believed to have been dumped into the sea sometime after he disappeared on October 10.

Anthony Bugeja and Piero di Bartolo stand charged with Mr Rosso's murder.

The body is believed to have been wrapped in some fabric and weighed down with a number of bricks.

Rough seas have rendered the search very difficult.

The fishing boat from which the body is believed to have been dumped is in the hands of the police.

The compilation of evidence against the two accused starts before Magistrate Antonio Mizzi on Tuesday.
