The book published by the Pharmaceutical Press, UK is being looked at as a possible European benchmark for testing the knowledge of those who would be given a warrant to practice as pharmacists in Europe. It is being recommended to be used as an aid by those preparing for pre-registration examinations.
Dr Azzopardi is also the author of the book Validation Tools for Community Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Care for the Third Millennium, which was also very well received internationally. Dr Azzopardi is now co-ordinating the setting up of standards for community pharmacy for the International Federation of Pharmacists (FIP). She has recently been appointed a member of the Documentations and Publications section of the Research, Education, Special Interests and Publications Committee during the Valencia meeting of the European Society for Clinical Pharmacy.
