Scrumhalf Matt Dawson is in doubt for England's Six Nations opener against Wales next Saturday after sustaining a leg injury.

His club side Wasps said on their website that Dawson was to miss the game with Bath yesterday because of a right calf strain.

Newcastle centre Jamie Noon could also miss the game in Cardiff after limping off in the first half against Saracens on Friday with a dead leg.

England coach Andy Robinson has already lost centres Stuart Abbott, Mike Tindall and Will Greenwood. Flyhalf Jonny Wilkinson will miss at least the first two games with a knee problem while loose forwards Richard Hill and Martin Corry are also out.
