New Zealand beat Australia 30-13 at Sydney's Olympic stadium yesterday to win their first Tri-nations match this season and retain the Bledisloe Cup.

The All Blacks piled on 30 unanswered points after trailing 13-0 inside the first 12 minutes to move into second place in the standings behind South Africa, who won their two home games .

Scrumhalf Piri Weepu, openside flanker Richie McCaw and winger Joe Rokocoko scored tries for the All Blacks while flyhalf Dan Carter kicked three penalties and two conversions. His replacement Luke McAlister booted one.
