Bayern Munich bosses have criticised the players for their attitude in Saturday's 2-1 win over Cologne, with out-of-form striker Roy Makaay bearing the brunt of the tirade.
"Roy should work harder to help himself and the team," chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said after the Dutchman's long goal drought continued on Saturday.
"He'll have to accept that as fair criticism."
Makaay scored six goals in Bayern's first three league games of the season but a minor injury knocked him out of his stride and he has not found the net since Aug. 27.
Rummenigge said he should follow the example set by former Bayern scoring great Gerd Mueller, who turns 60 later this week.
"Gerd Mueller sometimes went 10 games without scoring, but he always worked hard, and that was his route back into the goals," Rummenigge said.
Bayern have won three out of three in the Champions League this season, while victory over Cologne on Saturday kept them two points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
Club general manager Uli Hoeness is still not satisfied and said the players would have to improve in tomorrow's Group A match away to Juventus.
"We were over-confident to the point of arrogance," Hoeness said.
"We were extremely lucky to win.
"We were playing to the gallery and you can't afford to do that even against Cologne."
