Assistant Police Commissioner Michael Cassar will be joining thousands of people in Malta and around the world in the three-kilometre Fun Run to be held in aid of charities on November 6.
On that day people around the world unite in the unique global event - running for charity - which originated in the US in 1999. The event is backed by Sting.
For the second year, Caritas Malta is hosting the event in Malta in collaboration with the Zurrieq Wolves Athletics Club.
"I am a firm believer in a healthy lifestyle and helping people. I encourage others to do the same," Mr Cassar said.
His participation is being sponsored by Police Commissioner John Rizzo and the Malta Police.
Organisations, associations, companies and schools are being invited to take part in the various fun runs taking place on the Sunday morning at Zurrieq.
These range from a toddler dash for children under six, runs for those between seven and 10 and between 11 and 13, as well as the three-kilometre Fun Run open to everyone over 14.
