Santa Venera 5am crash leaves pedestrian in critical condition

Man, 43, rushed to hospital following incident on Triq il-Kappillan Mifsud

A Nepali man is in a critical condition after he was hit by a car at 5am in Santa Venera. 

The 43-year-old was hit by a Chevrolet Spark driven by a 44-year-old Ħamrun woman while on Triq il-Kappillan Mifsud.

He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance following the incident, where doctors certified him as being seriously injured. 

Magistrate Monica Borg Galea is leading an inquiry into the case while the police are also conducting their own investigation.
