Satariano awarded Blue Harbour contract

Satariano, the bathroom and tiling company, has been awarded a contract for the supply and laying of wall cladding to the façade of the Blue Harbour Apartments luxury development in Ta' Xbiex.

Satariano are the exclusive distributors for Buchtal GMBH, a German company specialising in wall cladding finishes. The material selected features a hydroprotect surface with a coating that guarantees perfectly clean façades, durably and without effort.

Thanks to the hydrophilic surface, water forms a thin film which washes down the dirt. The result is a "self-washing effect": every shower cleans the façade free of charge. This not only considerably reduces the subsequent cost, but also contributes to environmental protection. The aesthetics of the building are effectively underlined, and the architecture retains its effect.

Satariano has also been selected for the finishing of all the common parts and the finishing of the penthouses and a number of apartments.

The Blue Harbour was awarded the Best Development in Malta Award in 2007 by a panel of industry professionals from the UK and the US. The main features that made Blue Harbour stand out were the large open plan apartments enabling clients to tailor-design the interior spaces of their homes, the quality in the fixtures and fittings, the investment made in the façade cladding system and other features such as large natural light wells in the centre of the apartments.

The Blue Harbour project consists of 54 luxury apartments and four sky villas and 2,000 square metres of underlaying offices with exceptional views of the Ta' Xbiex marina, Valletta and the Msida and Pietà creeks.
