The front-page article relating to the horrific car accident on the Rabat road (June 19) mentions that the car was already slightly on fire when the mobile squad arrived on the scene, to the extent that they could pull a man out of the car window...

The front-page article relating to the horrific car accident on the Rabat road (June 19) mentions that the car was already slightly on fire when the mobile squad arrived on the scene, to the extent that they could pull a man out of the car window before it actually "burst into flames".

While I feel for the two policemen involved in such a terrible experience, and congratulate them for their efforts and bravery in saving a human life, I cannot help but wonder whether having a fire extinguisher fitted in mobile squad cars (and, indeed, the training and presence of mind to use it under pressure) might have saved another two.
