An extended multi sensory area has been set up at the Sannat Primary School to cater for children with special needs.

The project, which cost about €30,000 (Lm12,879), was financed by HSBC Cares for Children Fund.

The first section of the multi sensory area, consisting of light and sound sensory rooms, was set up four years ago.

The second part of the project, which has just been completed, is the relaxation room that includes a bubble tube, a fibre optic curtain, fibre optic spray, a projector, a mirror ball and a water bed.
