Austrian federal chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel will be in Malta on a working visit tomorrow.

Mr Schuessel will have official talks with Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, and the two will later address a joint news conference at the Auberge de Castille.

Mr Schuessel was sworn in as federal chancellor in 2000 and again in 2003. He had previously held the post of vice-chancellor and foreign affairs federal minister.

The federal chancellor was born in Vienna in 1945.
