New Getafe coach Bernd Schuster says he wants the Primera Liga club to entertain their fans next season.

"The most important thing is to secure our place in the top flight and I am convinced we are going to succeed in that," Schuster told a news conference yesterday.

"The results are important but I like the fans to enjoy themselves because in the Primera Liga it is possible to play good football."

The former Germany midfielder succeeds Quique Sanchez Flores, who joined Valencia last month after steering Getafe to a respectable 13th place in their first season in the top flight.

"I am not worried about comparisons. Getafe, as a newly promoted side, had a good season last year, and it would have been difficult for the same coach if he had stayed," Schuster, who was sacked as Levante coach four games from the end of last season, added.

"With a new coach it is different though.

"I come with different ideas to Quique and this team will have a new complexion and will play in a different way."
