Edward Scicluna has been reappointed chairman of the Malta Council for Social and Economic Development for a year from August 17, according to a notice in the Government Gazette.

The permanent secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister, Joseph Grima, is the deputy chairman.

The members are: Michael Bonello (Governor of the Central Bank), Alfred Buhagiar (Confederation of Malta Trade Unions), Charles Busuttil (GRTU), Anthony Chircop (Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association), Joseph Delia (Malta Employers' Association), Joseph Ebejer (Permanent Secretary, Social Policy Ministry), Saviour Falzon (representing Foreign Affairs Ministry), Reginald Fava (Chamber of Commerce), Michael Parnis (General Workers' Union), Joseph Scicluna (Permanent Secretary, Finance Ministry), Gejtu Vella (Union Haddiema Maghqudin), Paul Zahra (Permanent secretary, Economic Services Ministry), Joe Zammit Tabona (Federation of Industry) and Tony Zarb (General Workers' Union).
