Seven Maltese venture scouts who hold the prestigious Dolphin Award have returned from London after attending the jubilee celebrations for Commonwealth scouts who hold this level of achievement.

The Dolphin Award is the highest achievement a venture scout can reach.

Around 550 scouts were present for the celebrations. The Maltese contingent was the largest.

The Maltese scouts took part in the St George`s Day parade of Queen`s scouts and the National Scout Service at Windsor Castle on April 21, the Queen`s birthday.

The Queen reviewed the parade, which has been held annually since 1934.

The Maltese contingent was made up of Teddy Farrugia, GSL Naxxar Scout Group as Leader, Kurt Caligari from the Cospicua Scout Group, Ivan Sciriha from the Naxxar Scout Group, as well as Kevin Camilleri, David Darmanin, David Demicoli and Andrew Ellul from the Sliema Scout Group.
