Scouts from the St Michael School Scout Group availed themselves of the fine weather last Sunday to test their skills and abilities at canoe handling and racing at Kennedy Grove.

The recently dredged canal which surrounds the salt pans proved to be an ideal setting. Races were organised under the leadership of Scout Leader Martin Camilleri assisted by other leaders and members of the group's Rover Crew. The scouts, boys and girls spent the day racing up and down the canal, a stretch of 600 metres.
