Ten scouts aged between 13 and 18, from the Qrendi Scout group joined 11 Polish scouts from the Zzczecin city Scout group for an international scout youth exchange programme in Poland where they attended presentations on EU member states and their cultural diversity, and took part in mud and water games, fishing, woodcraft, camouflage activities, brainstorming sessions, discussions, and group teamwork. The gathering was held in Berdo scout campsite near Myczkowce, a small village in the Bieszczady mountains. The region forms part of the UNESCO network of World Biosphere Reserves, and the scout groups also participated in a two-day expedition deep into the Bieszczadzki national park.

The exchange, entitled 'Never Ending Story', was held as part of the EU Youth in Action programme between July 21-31 and ended with a two-day tour of Krakow, and visits to the Wawel castle, the Kazimierz district and the Aushwitz-Birkenau concentration camps.

The Maltese scouts were led by Pamela Schembri and Warren Muscat while the Polish scouts were led by Alicia and Michael Wafka Lawniczak.
