The St Aloysius' College Scout Group Venture Unit gained first hand information about aviation during a visit to Air Malta and Malta International Airport.

The visit was the first in a series of summer educational activities. The group visited the control tower, the fire section and Air Malta's engineering hangar among other places.

Edmund Mangion from the Malta Air Traffic Services together with Ronnie Falzon from Air Malta's Engineering Department gave the students a detailed description of facilities and operations. Air Malta First Officer Franco Azzopardi, who is also a leader in the scout group, accompanied the students.
