Two men were slightly injured today when a wall collapsed after being hit by a crane at the Seabank Hotel in Mellieha, bringing down the ceiling of at least one room.
Workers on the scene said they had been working on the fourth floor when a wall on the floor above them caved in, pulling down the ceiling of some rooms. They said that two men were injured.
Arthur Gauci, CEO of the Seabank, confirmed that there had been a collapse but said it was not serious and no one was injured. He said it was caused when a crane hit the structure.
A Latvian worker died at the Seabank last month when a nightclub which was under construction collapsed.
