A search is underway for Jan Pace, a 36-year-old hairdresser from Pietà who has been missing for the past two days.

In a statement issued on Saturday, police described Pace as being of slim build and approximately 180cm tall. He was last seen wearing shorts and a dark-coloured T-shirt.

“Jan is not in a good place and may be experiencing a very serious and life-threatening crisis,” the organisation said.
They also confirmed that Pace had left his phone at his residence in Pietà, making it harder for authorities and relatives to trace his whereabouts.
Commending the efforts being made to locate him, Crisis Resolution Malta added in a separate, more recent post: “Police Force is doing sterling work, working non-stop, employing drones, dogs and every available Police service under the capable leadership of Inspector Elisia Scicluna.”
They have appealed for any CCTV footage of the Msida seafront, Pieta’, Sa Maison, Floriana, Valletta, Gżira, Ta' Xbiex, Manoel Island, Ħamrun and neighbouring areas.
"Every minute counts at this stage," they said.
The case has drawn significant public attention, with social media flooded with posts on Saturday morning calling for Pace’s safe return. Many users shared the original post from Crisis Resolution Malta, along with messages of solidarity and support for his loved ones.
Police continue to urge anyone with information that could assist in locating Pace to come forward. Information can be passed on confidentially by calling the Police Headquarters on 21 224 001, the emergency number 119, or by visiting the nearest police station.
