The number of seats per member state under the new EU constitution have still to be determined. This will only be possible after the constitution is ratified by each of the 25 member states. Under the new constitution, Malta will definitely be allocated a minimum of six seats, one extra from what the country currently has under the Treaty of Nice arrangements.
