Seminar for BoV's foreign representative officers

Bank of Valletta recently organised a six-day training seminar in Malta for three officers from its overseas representative offices.

Simone Meneghini, from BoV's Milan representative office, Abir Mohammed, from the BoV Libya representative office and Sandy Morcos, from BoV's Office in Cairo, attended the seminar at the bank's Training and Development Centre in Valletta.

Lino Decelis, BoV's executive head, Financial Markets welcomed the participants and highlighted BoV's commitment to provide continuous training to all its employees, including those at its overseas representative offices.

In his welcome address, Mr Decelis said: "Besides serving as a learning experience, this training initiative will help the officers learn more about Bank of Valletta and the services and products that we have to offer to our customers. Moreover, this initiative will also help us explore new and more efficient ways in which we can extend the bank's services through the network of overseas representative offices we operate."

Besides keeping overseas officers abreast with the continuous developments taking place within the bank, the intensive one-week programme was also an ideal opportunity for these officers to visit and come into closer touch with the various bank departments with whom they are in constant contact during their daily operations.

The officers were addressed by a number of executives from various bank department, such as the Private Banking Division, the Financial Markets Division, the Trade Finance Centre and Valletta Fund Management.

On the last day of the seminar, the officers participated in a Team Building Activity at Popeye's Village with teams from the bank's Operations, Credit, Finance and Financial Markets Divisions.
