Seminar on higher education in the US

A seminar on higher education opportunities in the US will be held at the KSU Vodafone Common Room on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

The US Embassy, the University of Malta's International Office and the US Education Advising Section of the University Library Reference Department, will jointly organise the seminar, with the cooperation of the University Students Council (KSU).

The seminar will include presentations by American students who have begun their first semester studies at the University of Malta, and students and/or staff who have undertaken a period of studies at a US university.

A representative of the US Embassy will discuss visa issues and answer questions. A representative from the US Education Advising section at the University Library will be available to offer advice on how to look for US course information, how to judge a US university's calibre and reputation, when to apply, how to seek financial support and how to sit for US English proficiency and other US university admission tests.

Literature and CD information sources on Education in the US will also be distributed during the seminar.
