The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology is fully committed to providing quality education to the college students.
A two-day seminar focusing on 'Quality within Further and Higher Vocational and Training College" was organised for MCAST staff on February 17 and 18; 200 members of staff from the six Institutes, the MCAST Gozo Centre, the Infor-mation and Support Centre and Administration attended.
The seminar kicked off with an introductory talk by college chairman Victor Scicluna. College executive consultant Frank Edwards delivered a presentation, which focused on ensuring quality at MCAST through the support for students, the resources available, quality assurance, management and governance.
College principal Frank Snelling reviewed the progress achieved by MCAST last year. He stressed the importance of providing quality and also the importance of always putting the student first.
Participants then discussed the strengths and weaknesses of their respective departments. This was a very constructive exercise whereby staff put forward their suggestions for possible improvements.
