The communications co-ordinator of the Ministry of Resources and Infrastructure (The Sunday Times, May 22) came out with the usual excuses about the still damaged Senglea marina. This marina was damaged a full year before the damage caused at Zurrieq.
I am not interested in who did what and who is supposed to do what. The fact is that the damage at Zurrieq was quickly repaired and our marina is in the same despicable state and has been like this for over a year and a half. If the damage caused and very quickly repaired at Zurrieq was of "minor works", how come all the fuss in the papers when it was repaired?
Please do not mention "the restoration project on Senglea's entrance fortifications completed last year". This is a half-baked project. The fixing of a marble plaque on the wall and its official unveiling or whatever which took place last August does not mean that the restoration project is completed. Far from it!
