A Gharghur man was yesterday charged with seriously injuring a man in Bugibba on Monday.

Michael Zarb, 25, pleaded not guilty to injuring Adrian Muscat when he assaulted him with a hard object at 11 p.m.

He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm500.

Inspector Joseph Mercieca prosecuted.

Dr Anglu Farrugia appeared for Zarb.
